About Me

With a background in Somatic Psychology, I combine mindfulness, attachment theory, and body-centered practices to create a holistic and personalized experience.

As an AASECT certified sex therapist and a PACT level 2 clinician, I have achieved the highest level of sex therapy certification and I continue to stay up to date on best practices in my field.

When not working you can find me with my husband and two sons exploring Western Massachusetts, searching the world for the most beautiful beaches, hanging out with friends, or cleaning legos off my floor.
My own life, especially my marriage and family, has been one of my greatest teachers, adding depth and empathy to my work.

Background

I grew up on the East Coast and studied philosophy in college. I loved the intellectual pursuit of philosophy, but eventually realized that I needed to get out of my head and stop ignoring the body. I wanted my work to be more integrated and representative of this.
I moved out to the West Coast for grad school to study the whole-person approach of Somatic Psychology. My family and I recently relocated to Northampton, Massachusetts. I am currently accepting California and Massachusetts clients for teletherapy.

I’ve practiced yoga for the past 20 years and sat in meditation in Colorado, India, and San Francisco. I have worked as a therapist and a yoga teacher with incarcerated peoples and homeless populations, in rural and urban community mental health, and in private practice with individuals and couples.

I’ve studied a variety of different modalities – Somatics, Sex Therapy, Expressive Art, Drama Therapy, Hakomi, AEDP, EFT – to bring me closer to understanding the scientific basis for attachment and how we create healthy and unhealthy human relationships. I apply this to my clients in an intelligent, insightful, and spontaneous way.

I’ve been a practicing therapist for over 10 years. I offer sessions online for California and Massachusetts residents. I have completed the highest level of sex therapy certification through The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, because the more I work with people the more I realize that our ability to have healthy relationships and fulfilling sex is foundational to living a full and meaningful life.

When not practicing and/or studying psychotherapy, I love to (among other things) travel the world with my husband and two sons, make handmade chocolates, and explore the forest and rivers of Western Massachusetts.
